PROJECT DETAILS
This 1980s house in Monkstown needed Deep Retrofit works to be carried out to make it more comfortable, modern and energy-efficient.
The existing building was stripped of all its contents, right back to bare block walls and timbers. The retrofit works included: dry-lining using an Optima Dry-Lining System; attic insulation; new electrical heaters by Farho; electrical rewiring; and an Aereco Ventilation System. New windows and doors by Carlson were fitted and a Stovax 40 inset stove was installed.
A new kitchen by Nolan Kitchens was fitted and tiling was carried out by MV Tiling. Also included in the finish was a new bathroom, new wardrobes, timber flooring, tiling, carpets and painting and decorating.
All works were carried out within six weeks and the client walked into a comfortable, modern, energy-efficient, airtight home.
