We had a very pleasant experience hiring Renova to do the renovation work on our home. Their clear staged process and budgeting, as well as their excellent communication, took away a lot of the stress that is an unavoidable part of such a big and costly effort. All the team – John, Sian, Barbara, Paul and Barry – was a pleasure to work with. We had a general plan of what we wanted to achieve, which Renova were happy to fulfil, but their workshops were very helpful in deciding about all the many details (big and small) which otherwise we would have had to deal with all by ourselves. Sian and Barbara were very attentive to our needs, but at the same time came up with constructive ideas, design wise, which proved to fit perfectly in the overall result.

We were very happy that the work was completed on schedule, not trivial considering that the project was carried out during the pandemic. The end result was beautiful, and more than matched what we were hoping to achieve. All that we agreed upon was implemented. There were a few minor issues that had to be rectified after we moved in, which their after sale service dealt with quickly and without any hassle. Overall we would highly recommend Renova for any home retrofit job.

Project Details

We had a long relationship with our clients on this project before we ever got to site. We had advised them on the purchase of properties over a couple of years prior to them buying this house in 2019, and then agreeing a renovation with us in early 2021. So, we knew each other well by the time we stared work in late 2021. The works carried out at this house stopped short of an entire gutting and renovation, the first floor attic conversion was left out of the works for this phase as it was in reasonable condition when compared to the ground floor.  The house had been very cold prior to the works and is not comfortable with low energy needs. The layout was altered significantly at the kitchen in particular to provide a modern kitchen/diner plus space which now opens out to the back garden. A large pantry and utility room were added. The job went well and clients were happy at handover, we may even return in the future to work on the attic rooms.
