Project Details
Our brief on this job was simple. Our clients had a fabulous new home, but it needed to be modernised. The décor was dated, the fittings were tired and above all the house was cold and inefficient. The layout wasn’t ideal, but the house was large enough.
We began by notified our clients of the work involved in a deep retrofit renovation, and the associated costs. Once the budget was agreed Siân took over and designed a revised layout. When that was agreed we both committed to the renovation and made arrangements to get ready for site. Fittings and finishes were selected, technical retrofit specifications were agreed and we prepared a set of working drawings. These design workshops took place at our studio at at RENOVA.
Works commenced on the agreed start date and they went according to plan. The finished house is a modernised version of the new home that our client had purchased a couple of years earlier. It is the equivalent of a newly built house.
