This project was not a typical RENOVA job since it was a garage conversion rather than a home renovation.
The layout changes on this project were designed by our client’s own architect, prior to RENOVA’s involvement. And, finishes and fittings, for the most part, were sourced by the client.
RENOVA specified the retrofit works, which consisted of insulating the existing walls using our RENOVA drylining system, insulating the roof, new windows, doors, a heating system, air-tightness, wiring for power and data and low energy lighting.
The project as a whole was handed over to RENOVA by the architect. We took care of the structural engineering; project management and budget. The architect had no involvement after the handover. Working drawings, the technical specification and all construction work and finishes were done by RENOVA’s own staff.
The finished product is an exquisite little building, doubling as guest accommodation and a home office, and still retaining a garage space for storage.
This project was a true collaboration between RENOVA, our client and the original architect.
