PROJECT DETAILS
This house was bought with the knowledge that it needed complete renovation. Built to 1980s building standards, it was cold and had very little insulation. Inside, everything was old, dated and the decor was old-fashioned.
The specification and budget for the renovation were agreed upon within 2 weeks of the initial consultation. Some compromises were made to the specification, but not many. Once the sale was closed on the house, the contracts were signed.
The detailed design stage commenced and six weeks later construction began on site. Works included the dry-lining of external walls, new windows and doors, roof insulation, a new heating system, electrical rewiring and a new stove.
New flooring, wardrobes and storage were installed, and a new kitchen and new bathrooms were fitted. All works were completed within ten weeks and included a final clean by RENOVA’s contract cleaners.
This house was completely rejuvenated and it is now a warmer, more modern and better laid out home.
